Rachel Barminski Bounds, Santa Fe, NM

Rachel Barminski Bounds, born Chicago, Illinois, lives and works in Santa Fe since 2015. Life long, self taught artist returned to college to finish education in middle age. Earned Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from University of North Texas, Denton, Texas in 1995. Continued on to graduate school on full scholarship at Texas Christian University (TCU), Fort Worth, Texas, earning her Master of Fine Arts in Painting in 1998.

In addition to teaching at the university level – part time professor of painting and drawing, TCU, 1998 to 2008 – she worked as an independent curator and in area museums, on public arts, and various art related projects in the north Texas area. All while maintaining a studio practice and exhibiting locally, nationally and internationally.
